Plasma is typically generated in the gas phase; however, our laboratory has developed the technology to generate plasma in liquid media.
By generating plasma in liquids, we can perform novel material synthesis and surface treatments using substances that can be dissolved in solution—substances that are otherwise difficult or impossible to utilize in gas-phase plasmas.
